I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than a year)

Pros

It's a good place to start, maybe in high school as a first job. The managers are usually nice and understanding. They call you the day before you're scheduled to let you know the time you work the next day or leave you a voicemail message. Not a great job, but It's not hard work at all.

Cons

They pay minimum wage and unless you're employed full time it's hard to get a raise with this company and you'll have to be there for a long time before that's even a possibility. Doesn't pay well.

Advice to Management

Managers deal with a lot and they do very good at their job. They're usually young and don't last over a year before deciding to go back to college instead.

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Coming from mom-and-pop/small business retail experiences only, this job helped me get a good feel of what corporate retail is like.

    Cons

    - Very low pay (I believe it was min. wage when I was there?) with very few hours (only about one to two 4-hour shifts a week)
    - Strict dress code: you had to wear all of their clothes only, and they had to be the "seasonal" color (ex: navy blue and white in winter, yellow and green in spring/summer,etc), only "natural" looking hair in "natural" hair styles, only clear or pink nail polish ... All of that can be really hard to keep track of and follow when most of the people who work there are 17-18 year old kids.
