I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Abercrombie and Fitch was flexible when working around employees schedules, calling in to work etc. It is a good place to meet people in a new city."

Cons

Abercrombie and Fitch is not an easy place to move ahead if you do not have desired "look". Although it is a flexible place to work for teenagers and young adults it is not a well paying job.

Advice to Management

People should be hired based on their work skills, intellect etc. Employees should be more welcoming to customers.

    Pros

coworkers are amazing. if you don't get caught, you might be able to make your day more enjoyable through interactions with coworkers.

    Cons

they play favorites like crazy. one manager loves you, you get 30 hours that week. if they switch the scheduling manager, you suddenly have only 10. they hold grudges, are rude, and will probably yell at you if you're caught laughing.

    Advice to Management

it is your JOB to hire 18 year old frat boys and ditzes. you chose this job, so don't get frustrated with them when they're being themselves. you can't place someone in one spot for 8 hours, with nothing to do and expect them to be well-behaved good looking robots. at least not for the 10 bucks an hour you pay, which you tend to 'accidentally' shorten when paychecks come around.

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Discounts on clothing
    Fun work environment
Good music (if you like it)

    Cons

Toward the end of my employment with A&F (around 2009), we were forced to use employee discounts on certain clothes in certain colors. It was really like you were working to be compensated in clothing.
Many if not most of my coworkers were lazy, and just wanted to stand around looking pretty.

    Advice to Management

Relax on the color schemes for employee clothing.
Stress customer service skills and training for employees.
