I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The impact team members work very hard and keep the stores running.

Cons

Highly discriminatory hiring practices. Was told in confidence that managers put "hot" employees on the sales floor and "cute" ones in the stockroom, and don't hire anything else. Raises are determined by who's pictures get sent to headquarters.

Advice to Management

Stop buying into the strange "look" ideals that the company has. It's juvenile.

    I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, great workplace for LGBT

    Cons

Pay is rock bottom for a full-time job (including half-time pay for every hour you work over 40); high expectations of management members with little resources; schedule is taxing and inconsistent; upper management plays favorites; upper management will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to produce the results they want. Your day is filled with trying to manipulate teenagers to care and perform at levels of full-time, invested individuals.

    Advice to Management

Get your priorities straight. Worry less about maintaining fronts and producing appearances and more about saving this drowning business.

    -Very bad hours
-No work / social life balance because you never have consecutive days off in a row
