Pros

The best part of working at Accenture is the highly talented people. The team environment is outstanding and allows you to learn a lot of skills from peers.

Cons

The downside to working at Accenture is the promotion structure. It is either business need based or you have to perform at the next level for a substantial amount of time.

Advice to Management

Review the existing promotion process. The current process does not allow many talented people to receive promotions. Promotion process is available twice a year.

    Pros

Clients are big-time players in industry

    Cons

Evaluations process is deeply flawed- I have seen dozens of places and this is worst...beware
Talent pool you work with is slightly above average...few superstars here folks
ACN is just too big to be effective, different teams get in each others' way

    Advice to Management

Reassess what you want to be as a consultancy. Are you a strategy firm (ala McKinsey)? Or and Ops firm? Or a tech firm that dabbles in other things?

    Pros

The best asset Accenture has is their people. No matter what issue may arise, there will always be someone anywhere in the world who is willing to help or know someone who can help.

    Cons

If you are thinking of furthering your education, Accenture does not have a tuition reimbursement program. It is the belief of the company that everything an Accenture resource needs to know, the resource can easily obtain the information in their Knowledge Exchange (KX)...which is not true.

Also, save your negotiation skills for another employer. Accenture has a flat "take it or leave it" attitude when it is time to offer a salary.

    Advice to Management

It is great that Accenture has many training opportunities available, however, they should also offer a tuition reimbursement program for its top performers at any level or workforce.
