I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Some of the brightest people I've worked with anywhere. Merit-based culture rewards aggressive movement. Global feel and opportunities if you're connected to the right Partners.

Cons

The work hours can be long and the travel can be exhausting. Each employee's work experience varies between various Partners and business units.

Advice to Management

Try to maintain a better turnover ratio.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Strong training and resources available to employees
    - Support to advance one's career
    - Some very smart people
    - Limited number of employees with a huge ego (compared to other management consulting firms)
    - Great work/life balance (at least in my experience)

    Cons

    - The name (at least right now) isn't the strongest for management consulting. This is probably because it's primarily known as an IT firm
    - As with many firms, there is some bureaucracy but this can be avoided, to some extent, by having a strong career councilor

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Great learning opportunities. Managers are very obliging with flex trips so you can spend most of your weekends visiting new cities.

    Cons

Compensation doesn't keep up with inflation for most analysts.
The management consulting practice is weak so you get pushed on system integration rojects.

    Advice to Management

Recruit less MC people. It's unethical to recruit someone into MC if you know they'll only be doing SI. Most MC applicants are not interested on SI
