I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I was able to gain experience in a variety of areas including business development, project management, business process transformation. I was also able to leverage the leave of absence program to take care of family affairs.

    Cons

Much of the work is moving toward a staff augmentation role. I worked with a number of really talented individuals, but my last boss was so bad that this was the main reason I left. Also they don't give good bonuses, raises and have used the economy as an excuse for a number of years to not give raises.

    Advice to Management

360 feedback should really be used to determine if individuals should be kept in their position. And being a subject matter expert in your area does not mean that you will be a good boss, mentor or team leader. Management needs to evaluate that their leaders have the skills to lead people.
