Pros

The Senior Executives and the office staff are above average - actually, I think I would just include everyone based in the San Francisco office! People know you and office visits are enjoyable. I hear this varies by location though. Lots of opportunities to grow and expand your skills.

Cons

Say people are a priority and yet continue to cut/reduce people programs. Local roles (within 50 miles) could cause you to be on the road two hours each way depending on the client.

Advice to Management

Focus more on your people- your biggest asset. If people are happy, clients will be happy and that will lead to more consulting, services, and outsourcing opportunities for the Company.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and the company does care about it's employees. Wants what is best for 1) the contract 2) the management Team and 3) the employee - as long as you figure this out you'll do good and they management team will support you.

    Cons

Accenture is in the outsourcing business so if you do not keep yourself relevant all the time, you could easily work your way out of your current job as it is sent overseas to be done by someone with a waged less than 10% of yours. You need to constantly find ways to be useful to the company in order to continue being part of the company.

    Advice to Management

Pick your great workers and develope them, train them, and have a succession plan in place for each when it comes time to realocate the work force to a nation that is much more cost efficient.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

provides additonal training and development. IT can be a great place if and only if you get the right set of people in the practice.

    Cons

You can get stuck working with highly unprofessional people and have no ability to manage out of the project. The mgt. in the Hyperion consulting practice stand clear of them.. Extremely abrasive & unprofessional..

    Advice to Management

    Try leading more often.
