I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

You learn a lot of soft and hard skills, you meet and work with generally good people, compensation is good, although not necessarily by judging within the IT industry alone

Cons

Corporate culture is very strong and you are expected to conform, you are only as good as your current project/client boss/accenture boss judges, can be long hours and interfere with work life balance, and maybe most of all, the "meritocracy" promotion system is flawed because most people are high performers and the company is not growing fast enough to accommodate all the promotions that are deserved. Also, it can be hard to branch out from Accenture to other jobs.

Advice to Management

Revise the meritocracy system to allow more promotion spots, if this isn't possible, then create and socialize a consulting career path that involves staying at-level with greater compensation.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Brand name
    lots of projects

    Cons

you cannot select the project as you wish...
you should be good in word, excel, powerpoint rather than .net/java etc.,
you should know how to act, dance in the party, sending birthday invites rather than work
you cannot select the ;location you want, they will transfer even if you dont have interest

    Advice to Management

Respect technical guys instead of managers..
