I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

Pros

25 days of vacation to start for ALL employees in the Services department. Annual evaluation designed to reward those who work hard and stick around for a long career.

Cons

Promotions may come too slowly for those who are more ambitious. In order to provide such a great vacation package, salary range suffers... the same position at another company may pay 15-20% more.

Advice to Management

Identify those exemplary individuals who are in Levels F and E and PROMOTE them quickly. I've seen too many young superstars leave their jobs simply for more money.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Your peers are generally dedicated, thoughtful, helpful, workaholics
Despite the pretty aggressive performance management system, people are not competitive against each other - everyone recognizes that you're graded on a curve, but maintain a positive collegiate approach in daily work.
Fantastic support for career development, and variety, if you are willing to invest a little time thinking about how to play the game

    Cons

Travel. But that hardly qualifies as a con - you already know you'll be travelling a lot if you work in consulting. But you can get lucky

    Advice to Management

Younger members tend to burn themselves out to make an impression. Probably explains the high turnover among junior grades
