I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

The biggest plus is that they'll hire you out of college and they don't seem to care what your major is or how well you did in school. There are tons of positions so you can learn quite a lot in a short amount of time. They also provide a fairly good training budget so you can get at least one industry training class per year if you work the system properly.

Cons

They will absolutely kill you. There are two types of employees at Accenture - the worthless filler people and the small number that do all of the work. If you show any aptitude you will be abused. This is not necessarily all bad - you will learn a ton while you're getting killed but at some point you will burn out and need to move on. Make sure you are always looking for a new job after you get around 2 years of experience and don't worry about leaving anyone behind.

Advice to Management

Treat your people as better than just numbers and you'll have better retention.

I worked at Accenture as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Coworkers are dedicated and qualfied. There's a great sense of team unity working towards a goal.

    Cons

Highly demanding and stressful work environment. You'll need to put in long hours and work under stressful deadlines. Constant travel is a requirement, which might be a pro for some people.
