Pros

If traveling 4 days a week is not an issue with your life situation, Accenture is a great place to work - good exposure, training, skills building, salary and perks

Cons

Traveling must unless you get lucked out with a near-location project, but you are expected to travel

Advice to Management

Build project search and allocation capabilities based on proximity of consultant to client location - this will build the value proposition for the client by reducing the overall cost , and add improves the work life balance for the consultant.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At Accenture, you sink or swim, make your own career, have the freedom to win big or fail, and while given some support you need, the business is built on networking with folks who work and play hard, all incredibly bright with tremendous experience. It's a great place to work to enhance your skills, learn life-long applications to other business functions, and create friendships and mentorships that will enhance your personal and professional lives immeasurably.

    Cons

Highly competitive cultures are a double-edged sword. The culture is very hard-driving and if anyone tells you that there's a good work-life balance (or you have to manage it yourself), then they're understating it. While it's true that you must manage yourself and your life, there are definitely long hours and work-life balance is pretty terrible. Lots of complaints here, but the high pay and great experience may make up for it.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Variety of opportunities; large, dynamic company; fun place for young professionals to start and grow their careers. Travel opportunities (if you like that kind of thing). Travel is not always required. Benifits and pay "competitive". Competitive environment can promote career development and confidence.

    Cons

Experience depends on client: some projects can be grueling. Can be isolated from direct Accenture management support in some cases. Can feel pressured to travel to be retained. Highly competitive environment can create stress. Can be difficult to develop deep expertise in any area when moving from one assignment to another.

    Advice to Management

They seem to know what they're doing.
