I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

Pros

At Accenture you can get client exposure early on in your career. You will have visibility to a lot of different types of industries, clients, client culture. You may get to climb the corporate ladder quickly.

If you like a project/ role, best to try to stay with the same management/ type of work. If you don't like a project, you can request to switch. Do this early if something is not a right fit.

Cons

There is sometimes a sense that you are just another employee and that your individual needs are not important. If you are in a situation where you face a long commute or long hours, you may feel like you can not request a change from your manager because of a sense that someone else in your peer group will without complaint. You determine what you are willing to deal with. Set your expectations with your manager early on and touch base frequently.

The main promotion cycle is yearly, depending on what time you come in, you could be on the fast track or you could have to wait another year. Promotions are based on your work but are also strongly based on who you know in the organization. Build a strong relationship with your direct manager and career counselor.

    Pros

Great people, interesting projects, very highly-rated learning experience. Opportunity to experience realities of many different organizations and corporate cultures.

    Cons

Long hours, travel can be taxing, work/life balance and expectations need to be defined and operationalized. Clients can be difficult to work with if explicit expectations are not set with their management.
