I have been working at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

One of things I liked the most about my job were the people that I worked with. When you are first hired, there are many training opportunities, but it is difficult to get permission to go to training after that. Vacation accrues quickly, but you don't get a chance to take it.

Cons

There was too much overtime. We were consistently required to work 60-70 hours a week, not including travel time. The leaders treat their underlings terribly; in true "Horrible Bosses' fashion. i have been with Accenture less than a year, and already a large percentage of the employees have joined the company after me; there is a lot of turnover. Most people are not in jobs where they are using the skills they were hired for, and then you get stuck doing that.

Advice to Management

Be honest in the interview process and during orientation so that people know what to expect.

    Pros

All around fun, not difficult to succeed. Kind of place where everyone says they are busy but they really arent.

    Cons

Very political, lots of red tape, not a lot of REALLY smart people

    Advice to Management

Take care of the people that perform well.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great process. A perfect place for mastering the SDLC.

    Cons

The ranking process is terrible. You can do excellent on you project, with your manager telling you that there is no room for improvement, but by the time ratings are done you can end up below average.

The company has a policy of not working any hours you don't book for, but as most people do it you hurt your chances of getting a promotion as you are up against people who on paper only seem to be working 40 hours, but in actuality are working over 60.
