I have been working at Accenture as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Great potential for growth and movement. Recognition and responsibility are given and at an even at intern level I feel l have been able to make a measurable impact on product offerings. Direct

Cons

Lots of process and corporate bureaucracy. Every other word is often an acronym.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    5 weeks PTO
    Work from home
    flexible work schedules

    Cons

    Long hours
    difficult to use PTO
management does not communicate with employees
If you are not on the delivery side (work in PMO position) it is more difficult to move up within the company

    Advice to Management

Offer more training to your employees. Make employees aware of both good times and bad throughout the project's status. Realize there is more to minimizing cost

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on the project there may be pros like work-from-home, overseas assignments, travel and 5 star hotel stays. Can't beat PTO length, though finding time for it is tricky, and could be detrimental to career.
The firm is huge so practice to practice, group to group, team to team there may be pros but overall it's just a consulting sweatshop

    Cons

Politics, incompetence, menial work, no prospects (analysts at the same level for 5+ years, managers for 10+ years, etc.). Quality of hires has gone down dramatically, positions are filled with warm bodies, no relevant skills training are provided, outdated methodologies, no tools/support... which makes it hard to sell projects, and even when sold, at delivery clients complaint about cost/value. Relies exclusively on individual talent which for the most part is non-existent.

I regret the day I joined this company.

    Advice to Management

Current structure is untenable, need to massively reorg, weed out incompetent MDs and SMs, be nimble, acquire more agile smaller consulting firms with talent. Provide clear career path, measurable progress, expectations, etc.
