I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (More than a year)

Pros

You get plenty of opportunity for professional growth, full comprehensive benefits, room for advancement and if you like working with the public you get to enjoy to constant interaction
of sales marketing and collections.

Cons

The company has high standards that are often challenging to achieve
Long Hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Advice to Management

While I appreciate the opportunity to always be challenged, many time the expectations are not realistic and often contradict themselves. Like being told don't take NO foe an answer when you know sometime we have to be the ones to say NO.

    Pros

Gain more Management experience, no one over your shoulder while you work, you make the schedule, you build your store....

    Cons

Your DM nor HR will support you, favoritism, discrimination, 50 hours and certain days to work are mandatory, 2 sick days a year allowed. Only 2 employees per store.

    Advice to Management

Hire Management and an HR crew with ethics, professionalism and leadership skills. Treat each employee equally with respect and dignity, protect your employees and revise the 50 hour mandatory requirement if you really want a work/life balance.

    Pros

It's better to have a job then no job at all.

    Cons

Let's start with Work/Life Balance. There is none. 50 hours a week and being paid half time for 10 hours of "built in' overtime. Micromanaged to death by District Manager who doesn't know half the answers to any questions you have for him. Training is a joke, the new Drive program is a huge waste of money it's basically a doorstop and the Company is discriminatory against Women in higher level supervisory positions. Excellent Managers can be fired for no reason other than the Host Store's HR department and Lousy Managers can cheat, steal and lie and face nothing but a slap on the hand. Steer Clear unless you are desperate for a job.

    Advice to Management

Focus your firing efforts on the District Management and above level. Truly Act with a Servant's Heart instead of Micromanaging and changing rules. Allow Minorities into leadership roles and truly listen to Employee input on needed change.
