Pros
Team (because we’re trauma bonding), hybrid, and decent-ish benefits.
Cons
When I first started, it was a great job with supportive staff and management. Now, it’s probably one of the worst jobs and companies I’ve ever worked for. Management doesn’t support us, and communication is inconsistent or nonexistent. They don’t care about employee well-being; they only care about renewing their contract with the government of Ontario. We’re constantly told to switch between different priorities without any consistency, and we don’t get support when we have questions. Management is like an out-of-touch group, resembling the Brady Bunch. They’re boomers who can’t understand how to communicate expectations and guidelines for support, and they don’t provide resources to the staff who is actually carrying out the program. There’s a high turnover since I started. Someone is either being laid off, fired, or quitting. Be prepared not to speak your mind; you’ll be excluded from assignments and reprimanded.
