Pros

Great group of employees, they are trying their best and are very helpful and resourceful. Many changes have occurred and most employees have been with the company for less than 2 years.

Cons

Management - doesn't know it's own product or how it works. They are not up front with clients regarding the current state of their applications. They have older outdated applications that really need to be completely overhauled, but they keep trying to fix them a little at a time. Upgrading for older clients is a terrible process. There are no standard procedures and management only cares about selling the latest version to the clients. You constantly hear that if we can get the client to the latest version then all their problems will be fixed, but you hear that with every version.

Compensation - pay is a little below industry standard. Constantly changing compensation bonus plans. Never sure you will receive your bonus until it is actually paid. No matching 401K currently or anytime in the future. They believe they make up for it with bigger raises.

Advice to Management

Believe what you preach. The catch phrase "World Class" is thrown around all the time, examples of other "World Class" companies are given at company "all hands" meetings. I think it is something they are striving for, but are nowhere near achieving. "World Class" is something that is earned and takes time, it's not a slogan you spout out every chance you get and expect it to just happen. You will never be a "World Class" company with your current lack of respect for your own employees.

    Pros

Results Oriented - If you perform well, you will be rewarded. The company doesn't focus on how many hours you've worked or how early you come into the office, as long as your work is complete and well-done. The opportunities in this company are great - it's not surprising to see a promotion within 6 months for a great performer.

Company Culture - Accruent has a work hard/play hard culture that is fast paced and is focused on being World Class. The people here take their work seriously and strive to better themselves every day. There is a sense of comaraderie between employees and departments, and teamwork is highly emphasized and valued. However, the company knows how to have fun with bi-weely "ACL's" - days where the entire office gets off early to enjoy beer and food. The kitchen/break room is also furnished with an air hockey table, pool table, video game systems, and other things to relax with. Being an Austin software company, the dresscode is business casual, leaning towards the casual side.

Company Size - Accruent is a smaller company, which allows for better communication between management and employees. The executives of the company interact with employees of all levels, and add to the fun, yet driven, atmosphere of the company.

    Cons

Compensation is a little lower for certain positions than similar positions in other companies. However, there is tremendous room for growth and good performance is rewarded with promotions and higher compensation. If you perform well, you will be promoted very quickly.

    Pros

Its a company that promotes a positive work environment. The workplace is a mix of youthful energy and experience. I believe the company as a whole is going in a positive direction as they invest in talent and reward those that perform.

    Cons

Sometimes change happens slower than one might like. Also not sure why someone might not care for the "world class" theme. I guess it could sound somewhat corny, but the the intention does seem sincere.

    Advice to Management

Keeping everyone informed of the direction is key.
