Cons
Owners and managers do not care about employees. One of the colleges ended their co-op program with Actlabs because the students got lead poisoning and were not given the proper safety equipment. One of my coworkers had a serious head injury at the workplace due to unsafe working conditions. The company tried to keep it under the rug but were unable because an ambulance was called. Ministry of Health and safety was finally called due to several repeated violations. Senior staff harass and abuse new employees who are all kids fresh out of college or new immigrants who don't know any better. Owners and managers will try to deny your two week vacation even though it is illegal to due so.
