    Pros

Active is in a great location. Just outside the city and not too far in the subarbs. It offers the opportunity to learn and very multi faceted approach to corporate financial solutions. It is commonly said that if you can work and survive at Active, you can work anywhere. The building offers many amenities such as a salon, quick shop, cafeteria, florist, travel agency and day care all on the premesis. There are frequent offers for employee sales, and discounts on many great items including travel, shows and other enternment vehicles. It is a privately owned company whos owners are on premesis every day.

    Cons

There is little room for promotion and salary is not at all comporable with the same job descriptions located in the city. Many on the staff have been here 15+ years and are set in their ways which do not always benefit the company in these changing times. While striving to make this better, there is little to no communication between the different departments and that manks it hard to work together. Raises are minimal and bonuses are few and far between. The company often spends money in areas where the unnecessary rather than re-investing the funds into the workforce.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to seriously review the task assigned to each member of the staff and their productivity associated with it. Take notice of the employees that always go above and beyond and reward them for it. A big help would be to cut the dead weight. There are many employees earning tremendous salaries that do not equal with their efforts. We have an entire Corp Dev department that is bleeding money left and right and have no profits to show for it and it affects morale in the company. Review titles in the various departments and make them closer related to industry standards.
