Pros
Freedom to work your schedule. Great work-life balance Professionally rewarding They hire well. The pay has increasingly become more competitive. You’re treated like family. Your family matters to leadership. :) Nice kitchen and game room. Quite diverse. Amazing year-end party. You are truly appreciated. No layoffs due to Covid. Ample breaks and free time. Positive customer experience leadership
Cons
Excitement is gone. Lack of executive direction. They are scrambling to make things work and guessing at best. Bad performance and apathy is rewarded. Blame is easily placed but rarely accepted. Nepotism is rampant-but understandably going to happen with a “family-run” business. Some old school leaders are stuck in the ivory tower and need to either go into the field /listen to customers or just hush and make the requests of customer experience and sales happen. Leadership wants big things to happen, but they don’t prioritize like they do No one operates w/ urgency. New development is random and not prescriptive. If you are not one of the “chosen-ones” you are going to lose out when the company sells.
