I have been working at Adobe full-time

Pros

Extremely smart, passionate people; respectful environment; strategy is strong, and Adobe is leveraging it's acquisitions to build highly differentiated products.

Cons

Growth opportunities are often lacking; moving from one level to the next is generally going to be a challenge. Also, there are many teams working on initiatives in silos, and it is not uncommon to find out that another team has built something that overlaps with what you have been working on. Lack of investment in certain areas of the business make it difficult for those teams/products to grow to their full potential.

Advice to Management

Make it easier (and incentivize) different product teams to work together , to facilitate innovation and leverage the full potential of Adobe's broad product portfolio.

I worked at Adobe full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great products with very loyal customer base. Above average salaries and benefits with good work life balance. Fun, creative people all around you.

    Cons

People management skills within senior management.
The HR team are constantly talking about how important people management is to Adobe as a company and yet do nothing to enforce it. There are people in very senior positions who are renowned around the company for terrible people management skills and yet no one does anything about it.

Adobe is a good company but really could be a great company if this was addressed. There are a large number of very talented people there who are completely demotivated by the attitude of some of the senior staff members. No personal recognition EVER - just pressure.

    Advice to Management

Don't just talk people management - enforce it.

"Good and exciting technology, marketing management poor"

I have been working at Adobe full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good technology, exciting products, smart engineers

    Cons

Some marketing departments are micromanaged to the point where people are afraid to speak up. You cannot run an organization based on fear. When every email and every webpage needs to be reviewed and approved by upper management you have an organization that is not empowered. People not valued do the bare minimum to get by.
Communication in some departments is sorely lacking.

    Advice to Management

Empower your people. Walk around the company and hear what people are saying
