Pros

Great financial (and other) benefits. Working with smart, good people. Good communication downward from sr leadership on goals and execution paths.

Cons

As with any large company, there is some bureaucracy to deal with whenever navigating human resources or other cross-company departments.

"Great company w/ smart, passionate people hampered by frequent management shuffles and a more Darwinian culture."

I have been working at Adobe full-time

    Pros

    - Fantastic brand
    - Working with smart, passionate, and dedicated people.
    - Most teams are extremely customer focused.
    - For some teams, great work life balance.
    - Terrific benefits and compensation.

    Cons

    - Highly matrixed organization
    - Lack of a strong long-term strategy = frequent project & people churn
    - For some teams, not-so-great work life balance
    - Decision making hub is in the Bay Area (SJ/SF), so not being there will likely impact your career in the long-term.
    - Team-to-team collaboration is being displaced by politics

    Advice to Management

Agile and Lean doesn't mean management should constantly throw new requirements with little time/resources and still expect quality work. Set the goals, empower your teams to deliver the best experience to the customer, and step out of the way.

I have been working at Adobe full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The stock price is going up

    Cons

Management capabilities are lacking - lots of people in high level positions with no business being there.

Adobe is a company that doesn't appreciate straight talk and addressing the issues head on. It is a very passive aggressive culture that only "yes" people thrive in.

    Advice to Management

Seriously look at the senior leaders within IT and reconsider who you have manning the ship
