I worked at Advance Auto Parts full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Advance offers good pay, decent benefits, and quality products to sell

Cons

tenured associates openly hostile to new hires. Very "clicky". Upper Management unwilling to
listen to legitimate concerns.

Advice to Management

"Servant Leadership" If something you lure in quality people by saying it is a company mantra,
 You should teach ALL UPPER LEVEL Management positions what it actually means,
and live by it.

    I have been working at Advance Auto Parts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    pay is ok, benefits are ok, willing to work with you when learning ,does not micro manage you ,they will teach you new things if you wish to learn

    Cons

    only certain departments get overtime, raises are small, large turn over of warehouse workers, always cutting hours, pushing to get work done worried about numbers more than the safety of the employee

    Advice to Management

    need to open up overtime to everyone not just one department or the select few, need to enforce the rules you have written for everyone safety, upper management need to stand behind their department mangers and team mangers

    I worked at Advance Auto Parts (More than a year)

    Pros

    schedule is good for retail , good working conditions, Mgr is fair but has no help from AGM RPP and Cpp coaching other TM . has new Commercial parts pro who is a pill head

    Cons

    6 dist mgrs in 6 years, never a help, more parts instock use point of sale to increase stocking levels DL's stop reading books and help sell parts

    Advice to Management

    it would be nice to have upper mgrs ie: DIST LEADER, VP,Buyers and CEO who know about the parts industry
