I worked at Advocate Health Care part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Very employee (associate) focused in their policies, associate feedback is much more than just completing an annual survey, associate job satisfaction and retention of quality people is priority

Cons

None, other than the position I held was moved to a location too far for me to commute prior to my out of state move

Advice to Management

keep up the good work!!

I have been working at Advocate Health Care part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

teamwork is the key to making every unit within the hospital a success, it is very important to have this because if you don't have a teamwork unit you fail patients, your coworkers and yourself

    Cons

the downsides of the hospital is that there is to much favortism, and too much family working together which causes alot of downfall feelings on other coworkers, which brings down their unit, as well as unhappy patients & coworkers. the biggest problem there is that there are more cheifs than indians, one unit should not have 7 coa, manager, charge nurses, there should only be one and put the others back on the floor as nurses and not bosses

    Advice to Management

it is a 24 hr opperation, you need happy teamworkers on board to succeed you don't need every employee being a boss you need workers, you need staff no unit should have 7 or 8 bosses only one. you need your secretaries and you need nurses on the floor not in some little office put them on the floor and save lives and work together. to many bosses have caused so many unhappy patients, employees, the hospital is to busy to only have two shifts there should never be a twelve hr shift or a 10 hr shift 8 hours is perfect for each unit of the hospital only because the most important thing is the patient
