Pros

Forward- thinking company that treats their residents like family. Home office is always finding creative ways to reward staff.

Cons

Any job in the senior living industry tends to be a 24 hour job (on some level) due to the continual changes and requirements of the residents.

    I have been working at Aegis Living full-time

    Pros

    They treat you with respect, always going out of their way to make sure you are happy, so they keep the residents happy. Upper management will listen and respond, no invisible door, I just spoke to the Vice President and the President in the last month, and they spoke to me as a person, not a number or an inconvenience (as most retirement places do). They give you the tools to succeed and climb the ladder of success, always setting the pace in the industry

    Cons

    would be nice to have a matching 401k plan in place...other than that, the job is what you make it

    Keep doing what you are doing..it is appreciated

    I worked at Aegis Living part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some co workers are great, they are willing to help in any way. Can be fun sometimes. Good place to start.

    Cons

    Short staff affects everyone. If care dept. are short its either they don't care, or they do it on purpose. Scheduler doesn't do it effectively. Manager tries to change everything, he hears but doesn't listen, doesn't take you seriously sometimes.

    Advice to Management

    Hire better staff in all departments.
