I have been working at Aegis Living

    Pros

There are so many "pros" to working with this company. Most notably, the culture of Aegis is second to none. Embedded in this company is a desire to see people be their very best, both personally and professionally. This starts at the top with Dwayne Clark, our CEO. His willingness to invest in our leadership, genuinely and with heart, trickles down to how the leadership leads each community and the people in them....

    Cons

The "business" side of the industry is challenging. This is extremely hard work. One should not be fooled coming from another industry that this work is easier or less challenging. So many complicated layers to the business, but if your heart is in it and you are here for the right reasons, there is not a more rewarding company to work for. This is not a con, but something to consider. I believe Aegis is very challenging...

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on employee growth and investing in the employees. Remain focused on what has brought so much success to this company...the unique culture and the amazing leadership. Do not sacrifice. Leadership through vulnerability.

I have been working at Aegis Living full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Aegis is a rare company that really listens to what people want and people need. They do very much care about their employees. They show this everyday, with programs like $1 meals, Big Dream Vaca, who has a lotto for their staff? They are the best in senior housing, no one comes close.

    Cons

It is a 24 / 7 , people you love pass away. Beginning salary could be better but if you are good you will advance quickly , if you aren’t , you pay will stay the same.

    Advice to Management

Keep up what you are doing! Don’t get discouraged , you are one of the best !
