Pros

Good-ish office (noisy openspace), friendly people but that's all

Cons

Well... I started working in AerData when it was a standalone company but then it was bought by Boeing and all things started getting worse and worse. And currently level of technical debt on multiple core products and level of corporate bureaucracy has overhelmed the level of common sense. Boeing has a motto for this year - "Do more with less" which is internally being interpreted as do more work with less people, budget, salaries. Last year huge percentage of good and core developers left the company and they were replaced by much less skilled developers and many internal positions were replaced by oursorced guys who are on level of Junior but the expectations were left intact. As a result remaining core developers have to spend a lot of time guiding them and reviewing the work and quality suffers. Also previously we had a rule that 30% of teams capacity should be spent on solving technical debt and improvements but later on it was cut almost to 0 because "there is no budget for that". Boeing considers existing projects as completed and in maintenance mode, well, it works, isn't it? Management likes to boast about innovations, to ask people to be innovative but as soon as you try to be innovative and explain the benefits of the idea with numbers and all justifications you get the answer - good idea, no budget. Also they boast we're doing machine learning to customers. But how it's done? Get a ML intern and do some prototype for little money. Why intern and not a permanent position? No budget. Hardware which is given to developers is complete crap - laptops with 8gb of ram and poor 2 core mobile CPU. We need to run quite a lot of stuff locally and PC is struggling to keep the work load, optimized local builds of medium size projects can easily take more than 5 mins to compile. But only if you don't run any VM at the time. The concern was raised multiple times on many levels but nothing was done. And in regards with promotions, salary and bonuses, they say the bonus depends on the company performance but experience of last two years tells that it's always ~2-3% of your yearly salary and it doesn't matter if the company made huge profits exceeding the high plans for the year. It's very hard to get a promotion, management promices something but then they break the promice and promice to do it next year if you perform well. And it's very hard to get promotions (unless you're on the close hand with correct people) because positions constantly change, some of them are cut, some are outsorced, some are replaced by Boeing employes.

Managers were just looking for their promotions and using other ones as a ladder. No transparency especially in management.
