    Pros

    Excellent training into position
    Good industry experience
    Energetic and outgoing environment, professionally competitive
    Can make 6 figures as an entry-level position

    Cons

    Extremely "clicky" environment
    Extreme favoritism
    Luck of the draw - have to be placed in an accomplished Account Managers triangle for success
    Success dependent on the effort of your management, cannot directly control your success and accomplishments
    Extremely high attrition in non-technical divisions makes it hard to grow spread and commission
    Hard work and accomplishment is overlooked by one number that multiple people must produce in order to influence
    Employees were promoted and praised with less merit because liked by DBO
    Horrible work-life balance

    Advice to Management

    Evaluate the character and potential in an employee, don't base ability for success in promotion based on spread; a number with multiple influences. Clear favoritism and sarcasm does not lead to a well-rounded and happy work-force.

    Pros

    Disclaimer: I was a top performer, averaging around 10K in spread for 9 months prior to leaving
    Nice foot in the door out of college
    Uncapped commission (tough to accomplish the high threshhold, though)
    Solid resources to identify candidates
    Awesome if you get in with the correct team (i.e., seasonsed sales rep w/ good territory)

    Cons

    Ridiculous expectations
    Extreme micromanagement (20 "progress" meetings per week)
    Long, long hours (spent 30 minutes a day there just for face time)
    Non existent work/life balance
    Inexperienced and untrained managers
    Depending on where you are, DBO and Account Manager arrogance
    Roller coaster ride - good when its good, bad when it's bad
    Unpredictable product - people
    Popularity contest
    Need to really excel to make more than $70k from recruiting chair
    High attrition and internal turnover makes it hard to get comfortable
    Too political

    Advice to Management

    Don't only promote top performers - Promote people who can manage as well
    Calm down with the micromangement - have faith in who you hire
