Pros

Aerotek is the type of place for money hungry people. If you want to help people, do not go to work here. Be ready to go in the morning at around 7:45 for "RedZone". Aerotek will teach you how to lead generate, cold call, talk on the phone and interact with people you do not know. They haze you and push you everyday to become better. Honestly, this job is for those who might not be lawyers, doctors. the most educated bunch but for those can work hard. I had a great experience and made the mistake of leaving for higher education. Work at Aerotek right out of school for 2-3 years, transfer to the city you want to live in and then put in your two weeks when you get the job you really wanted and got through the awesome training. However, if you really work hard....there is no reason why you can't be promoted in 6 months to an Account Manager and work your butt off to get to Director of Business Operations

Cons

The commission structure here is not very fair. However, good things take time and you should make it your priority to get your spread as high as you can before you leave. One of the main and only negatives I have with the company is the politics in the office. Lots of posturing and sucking up go on in an Aerotek office. Combine that with a workforce that is average in intelligence and above average in motivation and that leads to some ridiculous habits. Rumors spread fast in an Aerotek office because everyone is in their 20s. Great place to work.

Advice to Management

The mean should justify the results. If a worker is mainly being compensated on compensation and producing. Let them take a half day with pay or come in at 10 without such a fuss. At Aerotek, taking people out to lunch's and building relationships is very important. NEWS FLASH: Everyone not in the office at 7:45 is planning a breakfast/coffee at 9 so they can sleep in. Just lax up on the micromanaging.

    Pros

Aerotek has an excellent company culture. I really enjoyed everyone in the office that I worked with. They also provide great training. Once you get passed a certain threshold, you can make great commission. There is a lot of different opportunities available in different areas of the company. The promote from within as well which is great.

    Cons

No work life balance. Sometimes there is a lack of professionalism because they hire candidates fresh out of college. In certain divisions, it is very difficult to get to the levels to make good commission. There is never down time.
