Pros

Young coworkers. Experience that other companies will value when you want to leave and start interviewing elsewhere.

Cons

Long-hours. 7:30 am - 6 pm is expected. If there is a project, you can expect to stay past 9 pm. Managers and directors always upset with recruiters for not hitting goals due to outside factors that recruiters have no control over. Work like a dog, barely get paid. The amount of work you put in does not translate to dollars in your pocket. The commission structure does not pay out what they market. I've seen managers develop a territory only to have it taken away and handed to someone who was recently promoted. That manager and their family suddenly has to figure out how to live on much less since they lost the commission on that territory and are knocked back down to base. Managers routinely brag about drunken nights and doing poorly in school. Company does not value intelligence. Most valuable employees are ones who can be run over day after day and still come to work with a smile on their face. They've implemented a Diversity Initiative Committee which is routinely joked about at work. It's a good old boys club environment and if you're not a white male that didn't do well in school, you won't fit in. They'll accept women...if they act like white males.

    Pros

steady paycheck, nice people, decent benefits

    Cons

Long hours, Sometimes you will chase "unfillable" job requirements

    Advice to Management

Pay your recruiters more and give them more opportunities to make bonuses. The problem with this position is that sales reps would bring in all kinds of job requirements that weren't realistic to fill. They would ask us to find people with crazy amounts of experience but want to pay them nothing. 12-13 hour days were pretty much expected every day except Friday. However, if you have a job req open on Friday, you are expected to stay well after 5. Very little work/life balance.
