I worked at Aetna full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    None come immediately to mind.

    Cons

The company pays salary based on 8 hours a day. They continually inspect your availability due to lack of trust. They knowingly short-staff the nurses so the job can't be done in 8 hours. I routinely work 14 hours a day... somethimes 16 just to keep up with the workload. They don't pay for the overcommitment nor do they recongize the need for more staff to balance the workload. It's not an environment of respect for the individual's doing the work.

    Advice to Management

Treat your nurses with the same respect you demand for yourself.

I worked at Aetna full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers dedicated to helping others

    Cons

Really arrogant middle management, condescending attitude toward workforce

    Advice to Management

re-think how employees should be treated and communicated with from the ground up. The results will speak for themselves, higher morale, increased productivity, lower employee turnover, no government sanctions, give employees your top medical benefit plan, after all they are "Ambassadors" of your brand. The results would be an increase in long term Profits.
