Pros

Starting pay is great, set schedule, paid time off accures fast

Cons

no communication from management, awful network, forced benefits, too much about sales to the point of selling customer wrong thing and losing customers. teaching the opposite of customer service to reps

Advice to Management

Allow reps more information, actually communicate with rest of company. think about promotions before having them.

The transformation that began a few years ago is really taking root. This company is a great place if you want to have a personal impact on a large scale. Tremendously talented folks that will go to great lengths to make the customer happy.

    Cons

Organizational silos and challenging legacy systems can be frustrating, but personal effort to overcome challenges is seen everywhere.

    Advice to Management

Continue to pay attention to breaking down the structural and systems based silos.

I have been working at Alaska Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Alaska Communications has a lot of opportunities for growth within the company. If you are looking for a job, this is not the place. If you want a successful career then this is the place.

    Cons

Alaska Communication has a lot of room for growth and some managers/supervisors are stuck in the past and not willing to help grow the company, this can cause delays in processes and improvements.

    Advice to Management

More training for supervisors about the basics (paperwork, documentation, efficiency, etc)
