I have been working at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very talented and hardworking workforce especially in Business Technology. Employee benefits are very good. Moving to new office and closer to downtown core.

    Cons

Lots of leadership issues. Incompetent and lazy management. In Business Technology, employees at director level play dirty politics, undermine opinions of their staff, create a culture of silos. Divide and conquer strategy. This can be very stressful for the rest of staff. Employees have been publicly blamed multiple times by directors (dictators) for small mistakes. How do you expect team to feel safe and motivated?

    Advice to Management

Get rid of such employees who are detrimental to organization culture.
