Nepotistic. Very few opportunities for advancement for LGBT and female crew, despite promises. Inconsistent schedule makes for a poor work/life balance. Poor benefits package that just barely meets the minimum required by law. Non union.

Alcatraz Cruises is a great option for anyone interested in starting work in the maritime industry, it provides a way to get sea time and union membership is not required yet pay is competitive.
Cons
Downsides might include hiring too many employees to make sure they always have shifts covered, but this negatively affects those employees as their hours may be lessened.
