Alkermes is a small, but growing, biotech with a fair product pipeline. Compensation and benefits are good, flex time (department dependent) is great, co-workers are solid. Science is respected, and you will have plenty of opportunities to develop business agility during your time there.
Cons
Hang on for a foot stompin’ good time! Oh, wait, no; that’s just someone in the MI wing throwing a temper tantrum. For as much potential as Alkermes possesses, it’s unclear whether it will ever successfully actualize it, or whether internal politics will continue to undermine the company. Individuals who are abusive towards colleagues and staff should be exited from the organization, not retained or rewarded. Senior management, by way of their complacency, has cultivated an environment steeped in disrespect and the Peter Principle, which has caused many talented, collaborative individuals to take their skills elsewhere.
