I worked at All Covered full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Work with the latest business IT technology. The company is focused on offering a comprehensive suite of IT products for their customers.

Cons

Parent company is still focused on the document imaging space, selling IT Services as an add-on product. Very difficult to get the attention of most copier sales staff.

    Pros

None whatsoever. Although this would be a perfect place of employment for a sadomasochist.

    Cons

They will rob any person blind if they think they can make a buck. They'll do this at the expense of their employees. The CEO had us all in a meeting and he told the entire group that "he can convince anyone to give him more money". Watching him talk was like Alex in Clockwork Orange getting his therapy.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the management is to go burn in hell. Ever single one of you.

I have been working at All Covered full-time

    Pros

The teams of field engineers are great. The field teams are the touch point for the customers and they will do their level best to make them happy.

    Cons

The company is not one company regardless of what it portrays. It has always been in regions and these are setup to compete against themselves. This creates internal rivalry based on how much extra money a region managed to squeeze out of its clients. The push for extra revenue pushes field teams to find more ways of getting extra money from clients. This is unhealthy and a caustic work ethic but one which senior management appear to consider a viable way to earn income at the cost of losing the client base. Worst still is the time you do have a lot of extra income from these projects the senior management expect you go out and do it again even better the following month. As said by another reviewer the senior management appears to only be focused on the bottom line and not the staff or clients. Other issues are found in some of the solution analysts or project managers who can be a challenge because they appear to look down on the field teams as lower life forms. This can also be highlighted in the regions which all do their own thing their own way but each saying this is the All Covered way. Thus cross region collaboration can cause internal friction because expectations on both sides are not met with the result that the client’s suffer. As a field engineer who area a road warrior and if your client service agent is in a different state you can get unrealistic requests which include changes requiring you to drive 40 miles in rush-hour traffic in 20 minutes. Those that tried to make a difference are soon gone.

    Advice to Management

It has been clear that some of the senior executives are passionate about the company. Yet there are others who see the company as a group of competitive entities who have to better the others. This is not healthy and places those in the field dealing with clients in an unviable position of being both sales and technical support in a process which opposes the desire to help and keep a client happy. Listen to your team in the field and not those playing games with bottom line figures.
