I have been working at Allen & Overy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

By law firm standards, very innovative. Work is top tier. Open teams. Relatively flat hierarchy.

    Cons

Hours can be unforgiving. Not many high quality secondment opportunities. Feedback is weak at the best of times.

    Advice to Management

Develop your staff better, don't see them as just tools to be trained once a year.

    I worked at Allen & Overy full-time

    Pros

Onsite facilities and amenities are excellent

    Cons

They talk a lot about diversity and have all kinds of initiatives, but it's still a big city firm that only cares about chargeable hours. The smile doesn't reach the eyes.

    Advice to Management

Give employees a safe environment to whistleblow. There's no trust that disclosing something won't be severely career limiting.
