I worked at Alloy Media full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Really young, casual working environment, summer Fridays, generally flexible hours, lots of perks (celeb sightings, free tickets to events), awesome holiday party and the occasional happy hour and group dinners.

Cons

The morale is so low because the turnover rate is so high. Few people stay for more than a year or two because the management keeps changing. It's just very unorganized and for a company focused on youth media and marketing, it should be more fun and less stressful.

Advice to Management

Value the mid-level employees. Pay employees of ALL levels more in salary (except the VPS etc) and they be more likely to stay. Stop acquiring new companies and put that money and investment into the talented people you already have.

    Pros

Their content and demographic is fun and current, good co-workers, decent growth opportunities if your willing to be patient

    Cons

very low salaries compared to industry standards, little respect, appreciation, or interest in retention of employees other then upper management, long hours with lots of "fire drills"

I worked at Alloy Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Casual work environment, informal dress code, summer fridays (if you can take them), no one keeps track of vacation time

    Cons

Long hours, extremely poor upper management, losing valuable clients and upper management blames everyone else but themselves, seems like everyone yells at each other as a means of communication, i received a 1% raise after a year of hard work.

    Advice to Management

The occasional freebie or party is not incentive for employees to do a good job. Quality work is never rewarded adequately.
