Pros

Employees at the company look out for each other, and are usually very helpful to help each other in difficult client facing situations, and to learn more about relevant corporate/ product/ industry information.

Cons

The products had weaknesses at times, and management/ developers did not incorporate the weaknesses as implementation/ smaller clients communicated potential improvements. Unless a big client demands, products did not look too strong (and front line employee had to face the customer frustration.)

The company also based evaluations on utilization, and assigned , thus implementation team members could not themselves affect the utilization matrix.

    Pros

Monthly Birthday celebrations. Causal attire. Not micro-managed. Laid back environment. Work from home, if need be.

    Cons

Not enough adequate training for the complex products for support personnel. We learn the product as the cases come in. You cannot determine your own workload, meaning cases are assigned to you randomly, no matter if you are already struggling on 10+ cases, you must troubleshoot and resolve the cases assigned to you.

I have been working at Allscripts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits and stock options

    Cons

Lack of Management accountability and training. C suite living large even the ones that have been terminated, while hard working people that get the SFM product out in general release get barely a pay raise and no bonus for the past year. Expectation is that there is no work life balance work, work, work but no appreciation for this. Very clicky in the Burlington, MA office. If you are part of the click you are fine by the way the click does not have knowledgable hard working people in it, but they are likable. Lack of domain experience and the one that has it is ignored. The product is going to go down the tubes once users actually get on the product.

    Advice to Management

get out of the clouds and really see what is going on in the office. Start appreciating the staff that does work and has a clue. Get rid of the ones that are just there and do not work.
