Former Employee - Staff Claim Service Adjuster in Irving, TX
Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Stable company
Good amount of PTO time
Great retirement program
Good place to gain some experience due to the number of tenured employees

Cons

Little to no recognition for a job well done
Career advancement is VERY slow moving and now requires total mobility to even be considered
Office Management needs an overhaul - most have been managers for over a decade and are out of touch with the frontline employees
Holiday vacation time is non-existent (and I'd been there over a decade)
No longer values employees. They just need a warm body to perform.

Advice to Management

Since Tom Wilson took over, it's been all about making the company more profitable for the shareholder. While that certainly has its benefits, it lacks the balance necessary for a healthy working environment The frontline employees are no longer treated as individuals with a life outside of the company. Instead they are working tirelessly in a job with ever rising standards and little or no positive feedback. I can confidently say that employee moral is in the tank and the claim offices are a mess. My advice to management: realize who truly makes you successful. Your people. Treat them right and they will take pride in making their company the best in the business.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

The salary is great once you get your foot in the door well. That means you need to hang around .

    Cons

You need to be young to see a good promotion. Kind of clickish and biased against older workers.

    Advice to Management

Look beyound culture, race and age then you will see the big elephant in the room. Because a person is different in culture provides the inclusion that the Charlotte office is lacking.
