I have been working at Allstate as a contractor (More than 10 years)

Pros

Excellent career paths, training and individual development programs for employees. Agency owners are independent contractors who enjoy growth, freedom of process and reward of retention based income.

Cons

Completion in the industry makes for pricing and selection an ongoing challenge. The industry has suffered profit issues in the homeowners market.

I have been working at Allstate full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work around - mostly pleasant and supportive in professional and personal exploits.

    Cons

For the amount of production that is required to stay employed they should pay WAY MORE. Many seasoned and new reps were on 30 day action plans throughout the year. Too much stress and their really isn't any trade off.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the micromanagement.
