I have been working at Allstate full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Great PTO and benefits package! Amazing brand presence in the insurance market. Awesome claims department.

Cons

Company has taken a completely different direction for the past three years. The CCC sales department has decreased bonus structure by 70%.

Advice to Management

Be a force for good not only for the customer and the agents but for the frontline employees as well. The current company culture is focused on local agents and growing local agents book of business without rewarding the frontline sales employee. Learn to take care of your frontline employees by offering better bonus structure and the overall company will benefit.

I worked at Allstate full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great advertising campaign, good solid initial corporate online training for agents.

    Cons

performs service work for no compensation, interrupts with outgoing sales, prospecting, hard to meet production quotas.
Agency owners lie thru their teeth, overpromise commissions, never on site, act thru their agency managers.
They ARE NOT the good hands people.
No basics, no training manual, no SOPs, learn thru the school of hard knocks,
dont waste my time, your time, Stay away, find other more reputable insurance companies, Safeco, Pemco, Farmers..

    Advice to Management

more directly supervise your agency owners, i.e. new agent orientation and training. Leaving them up to the task can expose you to litigation risks and E& O issues. Get smart.
