I worked at Allstate full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good pay and benefits, especially PTO. All benefits active @ hire date. I had great coworkers. Company has integrity - they really do strive to take care of their customers. Extensive training provided.

Cons

Extremely high volume of claims, constantly felt behind, like I would never catch up. Dealing with angry, frustrated claimants all day was emotionally & mentally exhausting. Sitting in a cubicle, looking at a computer screen all day got old pretty fast, too.

Advice to Management

Hire more claims adjusters! Especially for injury claims. Having such a high volume of claims makes it difficult for adjusters to do quality work on them.

    Pros

Allstate is a great place to get trained in business in addition to making life long relationships.

    Cons

To move up in the Company passed a certain point you must move to the Corporate Home Office. While the experience here is great, the cost of living in the Chicagoland area is quite expensive.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving forward with the vision set forth this year.
