Pros

Coworkers at Allsup, are for the most part some of the best. Compared to any other place I’ve been employed, I see a great deal of compassion from my coworkers. Insurance premiums are also still very good based on the national average.

Cons

Upper Management chooses their favorites for sure. Honestly the sad thing is, there’s no rhyme or reason how these favorites are chosen, as its certainly not for talent. For the most part they choose employees who don’t have a capacity for Management and shouldn’t be given any form of authority over others. The COO claims to have an open door policy, but when walking the hallways, cannot be interrupted from day trading on his cell phone to acknowledge the existence of the very people who work hard in his organization. The President should take care to not allow the COO to overtake him. The owner needs to reign his company back in, and stop allowing Upper Management to use company money for their personal perks and checkbook.

Pros

While I’m still new and haven’t had the chance to connect with everyone yet, the individuals I have met have been incredibly supportive—always willing to help, share their knowledge, and genuinely invested in the success of others. It’s truly refreshing and speaks volumes about the culture here. There’s a strong sense that we’re all working toward the same mission, and I absolutely love that. I have a deep appreciation for unity, especially when it comes to helping those who truly need it. Allsup has provided me with an incredible opportunity to grow—to do more, give more, and further embrace my passion for serving others. I also greatly value the environment of transparency, where open communication is encouraged and people feel safe to speak freely. With the VA side continuing to expand, I genuinely believe this is an excellent time for anyone who is passionate about supporting veterans to join the team. While there will certainly be challenges, there are also significant opportunities for both professional and personal growth, ultimately leading to a deeply fulfilling career.

Cons

Like any growing organization, there are areas where the training process could use some adjustments or additions, but leadership is aware of these opportunities, and I’m confident improvements are on the way. As long as you’re open and honest about your needs, management and other colleagues will truly will go out of their way to ensure you’re given every opportunity to succeed. You just have to want it!
