Pros

Supervisors really do care
Training is adequate to thorough
Ability to choose where you are placed
Great way to improve Japanese, teach kids English, while learning Japanese culture first-hand
Transportation and living arrangements taken care of for workers

Cons

Don't expect this to be a lifetime gig -- salary fluctuates very little
Practically impossible to get time off (though you get over a month of summer vacation)

Advice to Management

Keep trying to differentiate Altia Central from the other dispatch companies

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Altia Central as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

During my time at Altia Central I had two fantastic supervisors willing to help whenever needed, enough freedom to plan lessons as I wanted around the required curriculum, and be under minimal stress 99% of the time.

During my time here summer vacation was PTO, with a few work days interspersed for training.

I cannot recommend this company enough if you are looking to teach in Japan.

    Cons

The transition into teaching elementary school is extremely stressful, and you will most likely have to create multiple lesson plans quickly, without much practice. This problem fortunately becomes less of an issue after a year or so goes by.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! I will continue recommending Altia as long as you do.
