I worked at Amazon for more than a year

    Pros

Employees are generally open minded and higher digital literacy. So if you are digital designer, it’s more comfortable workplace for you. Report line and mentorship are well considered in this company. If you are a type of a person seeking to grow or learn with rigit manner, I think this would be a good company to be.

    Cons

Sound like mispositioning is often occur, especially when the team is still new. Actually, I’m my case was mispositioning we both admit. Otherwise, I would liked working for them.

    Advice to Management

Have job interviewer to review actual work role with a manager.

I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

-I get to work with some of the smartest, most curious people in the world. The bar is very high to get into Amazon; this creates a sense of trust that each person you work with is more than capable of delivering results. -We actually live and breath our leadership principles. This is your north start. -I get to work on very complex, challenging deals with full autonomy. This work is extremely rewarding because of...

    Cons

-No on-site daycare or financial incentive to cover late pick ups, etc. -A big part of your comp package is made up of RSU's which is amazing, however you can only sell these during limited trading windows. Can be tricky to plan. -Low 401K contribution

    Advice to Management

-At least for the Seattle campus, please think about your employees with little children who require day care, etc. I am constantly late for pick up and I'm charged a premium by the minute. I would like to see Amazon either develop a childcare center for employees (a few of them around campus) that is offered at a discount (could be pulled right from pay check). And/or help cost share in 3P daycare needs so I can continue...

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

    Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

More on-boarding training before new employees are thrown in the fire. The first couple of weeks can be very confusing on where to find the information you need that pertains to your job.
