    Pros

    Software engineers are highly skilled and helpful.

    Cons

    Managers are impatient and not helpful. Most of the times, you do not know where and how to seek information and they do not help you either.

    Advice to Management

    Have a solid mentoring & training program to help new hires transition in their new roles better.

    Pros

    Responsibility for own projects
    Management was very supportive
    Ability to contribute to a team
    Fast paced - Bias for action!
    People treat you as a full time employee
    Everyone is very intelligent
    Casual wear

    Cons

    Very unstructured environment
    Have to hit the ground running
    Lack of formal resources - self directed learning with little formal training
    You may have to work long hours - work life balance is not the greatest

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!
    Create some opportunities for continued formal training (instead of just self-teaching)
    Create standardized processes across the board instead of constantly recreating the wheel
