I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

It seemed easy to get the job. The work, while physically demanding, wasn't difficult once I got in shape.

Cons

50 hour weeks were more common than 40s. Certain managers held particularly demeaning attitudes.

Advice to Management

There was a change in management while I was there, and it seemed to be an improvement.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great company values, customer centric.

    Cons

Poor environment for employees, too huge ego's leaves no room for advancement. Discriminate personal views run rampant.

    Advice to Management

Do some better blind investigations into your "salaried" staff on a local level in all departments, I think you will be shocked to find out what is really going on in your "Non-Seattle" locations.
