    Pros

Management at regional level typically engaging. Work does not get boring. Opportunities to work on varied projects. Opportunities for nationwide travel. Labor stratification is good with growth potential.

    Cons

Lack of vision. Frequent reactionary philosophy. Panic management. Fire rather than repair.

    Advice to Management

Invest and reward younger staff especially engineers. Trained staff. Allow more time at conferences and professional development.

    Pros

Responsibility and ability to make impact early in one's career

    Cons

Very abysmal senior management. Lack of strategy, frequent changes of strategy, arbitrary success metrics. Many are in the "billionaires" club and have checked out without realizing it. While they claim to be nimble, too many have made their orgs top heavy and are not able to cultivate the next level of managers - too few performers are given management responsibility.

    Advice to Management

Step aside for the next generation. You've had countless failures under your belt such as Checkout, Product Search, Video (not You Tube!) and Display advertising, but rather than admit that you keep a core group of people at the steering wheel who aren't skilled to motivate people nor guide the multitude of products to success
