    AIM Your Way, America's InfoMart, High Stress - Underpaid

    Pros

    You get a firsthand look at the mortgage industry and meet some incredible co-workers. The employees of AIM Your Way, Americas InfoMart are an incredible group of people. They're friendly, hard working individuals that are underpaid and have the company on their shoulders daily. You will not find a better set of coworkers to be around.

    Cons

    Where to begin... 1) You get a firsthand look at how NOT to run a functioning company. The CEO claims that everyone is part of a large "family" and her door is always open (which is closed 99.99% of the time). The CEO has no clue how to run a functioning company, yes the company has been in business for numerous years but its the support staff or oh wait the "line staff" that keeps the company running. The new President only cares about himself and has no concept of reality versus fantasy. When the President and CEO are on vacation (which is quite frequently) the office runs smoothly and is a very low-stress environment. When they're present, its the complete opposite. 2) PTO/Vacation/Sick - If you want to be out, sorry! The company has a very limited sick/personal time off policy. The accrual rate is so incredibly slow, after being at the company 1 (ONE) entire year you will be honored with a total of 40 hours to take and enjoy! But if you get sick through the year, I'm sorry this will be reduced as you get a total of 1 (ONE) week per year and this includes sick days and ICE DAYS! If it ices the company WILL NOT CLOSE DOWN. You as an employee are expected to risk your life on the roads or be "reprimanded" for not coming to the office. The office will never close early, and you will be expected to stay late and work varying hours. If you're hourly don't go over 1 minute past 40 or all sorts of repercussions will follow. 3) HR / Management While I would like to say that management at AIM Your Way, Americas InfoMart is superior and goes the extra mile I cannot. The management team or aka "executive staff" is nothing but puppets on very tightly wound strings. The managers claim to "care about their employees" but all the assigning/production supervisors care about is micromanaging and making live utterly miserable for their employees. 4) Turnover Rate Most employees last less than 1 year, the company would be thrilled to have en employee last more than one day if they could. (A few employees or new hires actually quite before even making it through orientation on day 1 (ONE)). There is no HR at the company nor do they want one, why would the company want someone who would be "for the employees" when the management structure proves otherwise. 5) Never question the processes of the company One huge lesson learned from being an employee at AIM Your Way, Americas InfoMart is to never question policy/procedures. Employees will be terminated faster than you can count. The company does not want anyone questioning how things are done. How time is accrued, personal time off and NEVER discuss compensation/paychecks. I've seen too many employees terminated due to questioning policy/procedures. 6) Time Card (Here we go....) You're not allowed to see your time card/sheet, the CEO/President will not release them. Asking to have them viewed will open a can of worms. Is there something to hide? Are they a secret? Asking for this information will prove havoc on your employment within the company. Fair warning.
